Salt nic or freebase: which suits your device

Nicotine salt e-liquid is smooth at higher strengths and usually comes in small 30ml bottles. It suits pod systems and low-power mouth-to-lung devices, where each puff is small. Freebase e-liquid is sold at lower strengths in larger bottles, often 60ml to 120ml, and suits refillable kits and sub-ohm tanks used for direct-to-lung vaping. The two are not interchangeable number for number, so choose the type by your device first and the strength second.

As a rule of thumb, match salt to pods and freebase to kits. Putting a strong salt into a high-power tank gives a harsh hit, and weak freebase in a tiny pod can leave you unsatisfied. How to read an e-liquid label

Every bottle should show the nicotine strength, the bottle size, the VG/PG ratio and the flavor name. Strength appears as mg/ml or as a percentage, where 2% means 20mg/ml. Bottle size is the volume of the bottle, and some bottles are sold as short fills with room left for nicotine, so the label size is not always the amount of liquid. The VG/PG ratio affects thickness: higher VG is thicker and suits sub-ohm tanks, and higher PG is thinner and suits pods.

Look for the ECAS/MoIAT compliance mark and a batch or manufacturer detail on the pack. If a bottle gives no clear nicotine figure, or the figure on the pack differs from the listing, ask before you buy. A clear label is the easiest sign of a seller who knows the product.

Bottle sizes and what you pay per ml

Prices in the table above show how size changes value. A 30ml salt bottle is cheap to start but costs more per ml, while 60ml to 120ml freebase bottles cost less per ml and last longer in a high-use kit. To compare fairly, divide the price by the volume: AED 45 for 60ml works out to AED 0.75 per ml, and AED 60 for 120ml is AED 0.50 per ml, using typical prices from our store.

Pod users who vape a little each day do well with 30ml salt bottles, because they use them before flavor fades. Heavy kit users save money on larger bottles. Whatever the size, store liquid in a cool, dark place with the cap closed, and use opened bottles within a few months for the best taste.

UAE nicotine rules for e-liquid

The standard UAE.S 5030:2018 sets a nicotine limit of 20mg/ml (2%) for e-liquid, and products are expected to carry an ECAS/MoIAT compliance mark. Some bottles in our catalogue are listed at 25, 30 or 50mg because the manufacturer sets those strengths for other markets, and the strength shown is the figure the maker prints. We do not describe those products as compliant, so ask which certificate a bottle holds before you buy it.
