Design and build

The GEN 200 is a 138.5 × 44 × 29mm dual-18650 box mod with a textured, rubberised shell, a 0.96in colour screen, a bar-style fire button and a centred 510 connection for the iTank. Its defining trait is weight: it is one of the lightest dual-battery mods on the market, which is why people who normally avoid 200W devices end up choosing it.

The mechanism behind the light weight is the shell. Most dual-18650 mods use a zinc-alloy frame that adds 100g or more before batteries; the GEN series uses a lighter chassis with a soft-touch coating, so the loaded mod feels closer to a large single-battery device than a traditional box. The coating is also what gives it grip; it doesn’t slide on a desk or in the hand, and it hides fingerprints.

The battery door is at the base and holds two 18650 cells in series. Because the batteries are external, the mod stays useful for years: when the cells wear out you replace them for 40 AED each rather than retiring the device. The trade-off is that the kit ships empty and you need two matched 18650s before it will fire.

The iTank on top is a 24mm-class sub-ohm tank with a top-fill cap, bottom adjustable airflow and press-fit GTi coils. vapsshop.ae lists the 2ml TPD-compliant glass; the international version of the same tank holds 8ml, and the kit normally ships with a spare glass, so check which capacity you receive. Flavour and vapor performance

The GEN 200 drives the iTank’s GTi mesh coils with the AXON chipset across 5–220W, and the included 0.2Ω and 0.4Ω coils sit in the 50–75W band where the mod is most accurate. Flavour is warm, dense and layered, with the 0.4Ω coil giving the more controlled restricted-lung vape and the 0.2Ω the bigger direct-lung cloud.

Here is why the coil resistance matters more than the 220W headline. The 0.4Ω GTi coil wants roughly 50–60W: it heats quickly, wicks comfortably at that power and suits a restricted direct-lung draw with the airflow half closed. The 0.2Ω GTi wants roughly 60–75W, moves more air and more liquid, and gives the full-cloud direct-lung vape that people buy a dual-battery mod for. Neither coil goes anywhere near 220W; the headroom exists for rebuildable atomisers and very low-resistance builds, not for the included tank. Buying the GEN 200 to run the iTank at 60W is normal and is exactly what the kit is designed for.

In our testing the 0.4Ω coil at 55W is the daily setting: fruit and ice liquids stay bright, dessert liquids come through with body, and the tank wicks without a dry note between draws. The 0.2Ω at 70W turns the same liquid into a much larger, warmer cloud with a rounder flavour; it uses noticeably more e-liquid and drains the cells faster, which is the trade you make for it.

The AXON chip’s Pulse mode fires in rapid bursts rather than a flat wattage, which keeps the vapor consistent as the batteries sag toward empty. The airflow ring at the base of the iTank closes to a restricted direct-lung draw but not a true mouth-to-lung one; the GEN 200 is not the right device for a cigarette-style pull.

On nicotine: the kit ships with no e-liquid, so strength is whatever you fill it with, capped at 20mg/ml in the UAE. On sub-ohm GTi coils at 50–75W, 3–6mg/ml freebase is the appropriate pairing; nicotine salt at high strength is far too harsh at that power and is not what a mod like this is for.

Battery and longevity

The GEN 200 runs on two external 18650 cells in series and charges them in the mod over Type-C at 5V/2A, or you can charge them in an external charger and swap. Vaporesso does not publish a puff count, and runtime depends on the cells and the wattage: two 3000mAh 18650s at 55W give a heavy user a full day; at 70W on the 0.2Ω coil plan on charging or swapping by evening.

The mechanism is the same as any regulated mod: the chip converts battery energy into the wattage you set, so higher wattage drains the cells faster in proportion. What a dual-battery mod adds is capacity: two cells hold twice the energy of one, which is why the GEN 200 can run a 0.2Ω coil at 70W for a working day when a single-18650 device would need a swap by lunch.

Buy matched, high-drain cells. vapsshop.ae stocks the EFEST 18650 3000mAh and the AWT 18650 3500mAh at 40 AED each. Use two of the same brand, model and age, marry them, and never mix a fresh cell with a worn one; series mods depend on both cells discharging at the same rate. Charging in the mod at 2A is convenient, but an external charger is kinder to the cells and lets you keep a charged pair ready.

What the extra buys on the Gen Max is an aluminium-alloy body and a 6ml tank with a sliding top fill; what you give up is the GEN 200’s lighter weight and narrower footprint. UAE-specific notes

Two rules shape how you use the GEN 200 in the UAE: e-liquid nicotine is capped at 20mg/ml under the MOIAT standard UAE.S 5030:2018, and nicotine products may only be sold to adults aged 18 and over under Federal Law No. 15 of 2009.

Nicotine cap. The GEN 200 is refillable, so the cap applies to the liquid rather than the device. Every e-liquid sold legally in the UAE sits at or below the 20mg/ml limit set in MOIAT’s mandatory regulation for electronic nicotine products (UAE.S 5030:2018). For sub-ohm coils at 50–75W, 3–6mg/ml freebase is the appropriate range.

The real price. The kit is 220 AED; two 18650s are 80 AED; an external charger is optional but recommended. Budget 300 AED to be vaping on day one, and note that the same two cells will outlast several coils and can move to your next mod.

Why the tank says 2ml. The vapsshop.ae listing specifies the 2ml TPD iTank, which is the European-regulation version. Vaporesso’s international kit ships an 8ml glass and normally includes a spare, so you may receive either; ask before ordering if capacity matters to you. Coils, airflow and performance are identical across both glasses.

Which coil to start on. Fit the 0.4Ω GTi first at 50–55W. It’s more forgiving, uses less liquid and battery, and tells you whether you like a restricted direct-lung draw. Move to the 0.2Ω at 65–70W once you want more vapor. Prime a new coil by letting it sit filled for five minutes before the first fire.

What the modes do. VW is a flat wattage. Pulse fires in rapid bursts to keep vapor consistent as the batteries drain, and is the mode most owners settle on. The AXON chip also offers F(t) and ECO modes; F(t) delays the ramp for a cooler start, ECO lowers output to stretch battery. None of these change the coil’s safe wattage range.
