Aspire Pixo Aura Review: 7 Key Specs on the AED 75 30W Kit (Dubai, 2026)
In this guide
Overview
This Aspire Pixo Aura review covers the lowest-priced kit in Aspire’s Pixo family: a 1,300mAh battery, up to 30W with automatic power detection that sets 25W for a 0.4Ω pod, 18W for 0.6Ω, 14W for 1.0Ω and 12W for 1.2Ω, a transparent 3ml side-fill pod, an airflow slider that runs from DL through RDL to MTL, draw activation and a real-time LED for battery and resistance, sold in Dubai for AED 75 in seven colours with Pixo pods at AED 25 for two. On paper it covers more draw styles than kits costing twice as much.
Key takeaways:
- Four pod resistances with automatic wattage: DL, RDL and MTL from one AED 75 kit.
- 1,300mAh battery with 2A USB-C charging and pass-through.
- 3ml transparent pod with side fill and AED 25 twin-pack pods.
- Draw-activated with an LED that shows battery and pod resistance.
- A low-priced pod kit for anyone who wants range without a screen.
About this review: specs, flavours and prices come from the manufacturer and our Dubai catalogue; we have not independently measured battery life, pod life or vapour output. Last updated: 29 September 2026.
Aspire Pixo Aura Review: Design and Build
The Pixo Aura is a compact rounded pod kit with a matte shell in seven colours, a small LED window on the front, an airflow slider on the side and a USB-C port on the base. The transparent 3ml pod seats magnetically at the top with a side-fill port under a silicone stopper. There is no button or screen; the device fires on draw and the LED colour indicates battery state and, on pod insertion, the coil resistance. At around 70 grams it is a jeans-pocket device.
On paper the Aura is a compact matte-shelled kit with a magnetic pod seat and a transparent pod, which makes the liquid level easy to see. What it lacks is any manual control; the ASP chipset sets wattage from the pod and there is no override, which at this price is a fair trade. Against the Aspire Pixo at AED 120, the Aura drops the touchscreen and the A/B/AB modes but has a 200mAh larger cell at a much lower price; against the Pixo Neo at AED 110 it is cheaper with more pod options.
Pods, Coils and Heating Specs
The Aura uses Aspire’s Pixo pods, available in 0.4, 0.6, 1.0 and 1.2Ω mesh at AED 25 for a pack of two, and the automatic power detection is the notable feature: insert a pod and the chip sets the wattage for it. The 1.0 and 1.2Ω pods with a nicotine salt at the closed airflow are the MTL options; the 0.4Ω pod with a low-strength freebase at the open airflow is the DL option. We have not measured flavour or vapour output on this kit, so treat those as unverified.
At AED 12.50 a pod the replacement cost per pod is low. The 3ml capacity means a heavy user will refill once or twice a day, and real pod life varies with resistance, wattage and nicotine strength; we have not measured it. Our coil resistance guide explains what the 0.4 to 1.2Ω choice changes and our coil life guide covers what shortens it.
Battery Specs and Charging
The Aura has a 1,300mAh cell with 2A USB-C charging and pass-through. The LED colour is the only battery readout. Wattage depends on the pod fitted, from 12W on a 1.2Ω pod to 25W on a 0.4Ω pod, so run-time will vary with the pod and how you draw; we have not measured it.
For AED 75, 1,300mAh is a generous cell on paper, comparable to kits at AED 120 in the comparison table below. A heavy DL user should expect to charge more often than an MTL user, because higher wattage drains a cell faster. Our pod kit battery guide explains how to read mAh against wattage and our UAE heat safety guide covers charging safely in summer.
Airflow, Power Modes and Draw Styles
The airflow slider is the Aura’s main control and it covers a wide range on paper: closed with a 1.0 or 1.2Ω pod it is set up for a tight MTL, half open with a 0.6Ω pod for RDL, and fully open with a 0.4Ω pod for DL. The automatic power detection means the wattage is set from the pod, so there is nothing to configure.
For a vaper who wants to try different draw styles without learning wattage, the Aura is the lowest-priced and simplest way to do it in our range; for one who wants a manual override, the Aspire Pixo with its touchscreen is the step up. Our MTL vs DTL explainer covers the draw styles.
E-Liquid and Nicotine Strength for the UAE
The Aura is a refillable device and carries no nicotine; compliance depends on the liquid. In the UAE that means e-liquid at or under the 20mg/ml cap with the ECAS/MoIAT compliance mark on the bottle. For MTL on a 1.0 or 1.2Ω pod a 10–20mg nicotine salt is the usual match; for RDL on a 0.6Ω pod, 6–10mg salt; for DL on a 0.4Ω pod, a 3–6mg freebase, because a high-strength salt at 25W is generally too strong. Our UAE nicotine cap explainer covers the rule and our nic salt guide and freebase guide list what we stock.
Because it is low-priced, simple and covers every draw style, the Aura is a sensible starting point for someone who wants MTL salt first and to experiment later without buying twice; our beginner pod kit guide and nicotine strength guide cover the transition. Nicotine is addictive, and vaping products are sold only to adults aged 18 and over under UAE regulations; the UAE’s tobacco provisions are published at u.ae.
Who Should Buy the Aspire Pixo Aura
Buy it if you want a capable spec sheet for AED 75: four pod resistances with automatic wattage, a 3ml pod, a 1,300mAh battery and an airflow slider that covers DL to MTL. On paper it suits a disposable user on a budget, or anyone curious about a different draw style, with AED 12.50 pods.
Skip it if you want a screen, manual wattage or a premium finish; the Aspire Pixo at AED 120 adds a touchscreen and firing modes, and our Aspire Pixo review covers it. Skip it if you want dual-mesh pods, which the OXVA NeXlim 2 Mini at AED 90 uses (UNITECH 3.0). Our best pod kit guide and beginner pod kit guide cover the alternatives and the Aspire brand hub lists the full range.
Value, Running Costs and How to Buy in Dubai
In this Aspire Pixo Aura review the price context matters: at AED 75 the Aura is the lowest-priced pod kit in this review series and one of the lowest we stock. The Geekvape Sonder Q Lite is AED 75, the Justfog ARO and Myfit AED 80, the Uwell Caliburn G5 Lite AED 80, the OXVA NeXlim 2 Mini AED 90, and the Aspire Pixo and Pixo Neo AED 120 and AED 110. Pixo pods are AED 25 for two, or AED 12.50 each, so running costs depend on how quickly you use a pod, plus liquid. Our disposable vs pod vs refillable comparison runs the numbers over a year.

Setting up the Pixo Aura
Fill the pod through the side port, wait five minutes, seat it and check the LED flashes the resistance colour, then set the airflow: closed for a 1.0 or 1.2Ω pod with salt, open for a 0.4Ω with freebase.
Maintenance and pod life
Wipe the contacts weekly and keep the pod above the coil ports. Our refilling guide and burnt-taste guide cover the routine.
