Isgo New York 8000 Review: 7 Key Specs and Price in Dubai (2026)

Overview

This Isgo New York 8000 review covers one of the Gulf brand’s mid-size rechargeables: 15ml of 5% (50mg/ml) nicotine salt, a mesh coil, a 650mAh Type-C battery, ten flavours and an 8,000-puff rating, sold in Dubai for AED 40 as a single or AED 350 for a box of ten. Isgo is a value brand, and the New York sits between its small sealed pens and its 10,000-puff ISGO Bar. It is priced as a budget bar, with the strength caveat that applies to every 5% bar.

Key takeaways:

• 50mg nicotine: 2.5× the UAE’s standard 20mg/ml cap — check the compliance mark on the box.
• Rated 8,000 puffs from 15ml; real-world results vary with draw length.
• Ten flavours, including White Grape Ice, Lychee Mango and Cool Mint.
• AED 40 single, AED 35 boxed — AED 4.40–5.00 per 1,000 rated puffs.
• Best for experienced 50mg users who want a low-priced, mid-size bar with a mesh coil.

Isgo New York 8000 Review: Design and Build

The New York is a tall, slim rectangular bar with a glossy shell in a city-skyline graphic, a small LED at the base and a Type-C port on the bottom. There is no screen, no liquid window and no airflow adjustment. The mouthpiece is a narrow oval that gives a medium-tight mouth-to-lung (MTL) draw, which suits a 50mg strength by keeping each pull moderate. It is a light, slim design compared with the large-tank bars in the 30,000-puff class.

At AED 35 boxed the New York is a budget device, and the spec sheet reflects that: no display, no liquid window and no mode switch, just a battery, a mesh coil and 15ml of liquid. The mesh coil is the main upgrade over Isgo’s older wire-coil bars and is the main reason to choose the New York over the brand’s sealed pens, because mesh coils heat liquid more evenly across a wider surface. The Type-C port means it can be recharged, which lets you use the full 15ml instead of being limited by a sealed battery. Against the Elf Bar 10000, its most direct rival at this price, the New York has fewer rated puffs and fewer flavours, while the tighter MTL draw is the trade-off some vapers prefer.

Flavours and Vapour Output

The ten-flavour list includes White Grape Ice, Lychee Mango and Cool Mint. White Grape Ice is a grape flavour with a cold finish, Lychee Mango a sweet tropical blend with lychee and mango, and Cool Mint a straightforward sweet mint. The rest of the list is made up of fruit-ice profiles common in the Gulf market. The mesh coil is designed to give a warm, moderately dense MTL vapour, and at 50mg the nicotine hit will be firm on every draw; first-time 5% users should expect it to feel strong.

The draw is tight, so this is an MTL bar rather than a lung-inhale device, and vapour volume is moderate compared with open-draw big bars. We have not measured flavour consistency across the 8,000 rated puffs. For a budget 8,000-puff bar the spec sheet is straightforward: 15ml, a mesh coil and a rechargeable battery. Our 10,000-puff guide ranks the class and the mesh vs single coil guide explains the coil difference.

Battery and Charging Specs

The New York has a 650mAh rechargeable battery with a Type-C port, and the LED at the base is the only indicator. How long a charge lasts depends on draw length and habits, and we have not measured it. For a bar rated at 8,000 puffs, 650mAh is a reasonable size, and because it recharges the 15ml of liquid is the real limit, which is the New York’s main advantage over Isgo’s sealed Vegas and Paris pens.

The 8,000-puff figure is the manufacturer rating, and ratings assume shorter draws than many people take, so real-world results vary with draw length. For a moderate user 15ml is a modest size, which is sensible for a first rechargeable bar, and liquid freshness is less of a concern than on a big-tank device. Use a standard Type-C adapter, keep it out of parked cars, and store it upright; our battery and charging guide and rechargeable disposable guide cover the details.

Nicotine Strength and UAE Compliance

The Isgo New York 8000 is 5% nicotine salt, which is 50mg/ml and 2.5× the UAE standard 20mg/ml e-liquid cap. Check the compliance mark on the retail box. This strength is intended for existing 5% bar users; it is too much for a first-time vaper or a light user, and the tight MTL draw only partly softens it. Our UAE nicotine cap explainer sets out the rule and why 5% bars remain common in the region.

Isgo sells the same size at 20mg as the ISGO Bar 10000 2%, which is the version to look at if you want a 20mg strength within the UAE cap; the ISGO Vegas 2800 is the brand’s small pen. Our nicotine strength guide helps with the choice. Nicotine is addictive, and these products are sold only to adults aged 18 and over under UAE regulations; the UAE’s tobacco provisions are published at u.ae.

Who Should Buy the Isgo New York 8000

Buy the Isgo New York 8000 if you are an experienced 50mg user on a budget who wants a mesh-coil bar that recharges and costs AED 35 by the box. It is a good fit for existing Isgo customers moving up from the sealed pens, and White Grape Ice is a flavour worth trying. The tight MTL draw suits anyone who finds open-draw 5% bars too heavy per pull.

Skip it if you need 20mg (the ISGO Bar 10000 2% is the sibling to look at), if you want a screen or a premium shell, or if you vape enough that a 30,000-puff bar makes sense; the Beco Pop 30000 costs the same and is rated for nearly four times as many puffs. Skip it too if flavour range matters, because the Elf Bar 10000 offers thirty profiles for the same money. Our best disposable vape in Dubai guide covers the alternatives and the ISGO brand hub lists the full range.

Value: Cost Per 1,000 Puffs and Box Pricing

At AED 40 the Isgo New York 8000 is AED 5.00 per 1,000 rated puffs. The box of ten at AED 350 brings the unit to AED 35 and the rated figure to AED 4.40. That is slightly behind the 10,000-puff class: the Elf Bar 10000 is AED 4.00 single and AED 3.30 boxed, the ISGO Bar 10000 AED 4.00 and AED 3.70, the Waka Nova 12000 AED 3.75 and AED 3.33, all based on rated puffs. The New York’s 8,000 rating puts it at a small disadvantage against 10,000-puff bars at the same price.

Where it makes sense is as a box buy for someone who specifically wants Isgo’s flavours and a tight draw; at AED 35 a unit it is one of the lowest-priced mesh-coil rechargeables in our catalogue. Against the 30,000-puff class at AED 1.30 to 1.50 per 1,000 rated puffs it is three to four times the cost per rated puff, which is the price of a smaller bar. Cost per rated puff is a comparison rather than a promise, since real-world puffs vary with draw length. Prices include the 100% federal excise on e-smoking products and 5% VAT; our disposable vape price guide and puff count guide explain the numbers.

Verdict

In this Isgo New York 8000 review, the verdict on specs and price is that it is a budget bar: a mesh coil, a tight MTL draw and ten flavours for AED 35 by the box. Its 50mg strength, basic feature set and 8,000-puff rating against 10,000-puff rivals at the same price mean the Elf Bar 10000 or ISGO Bar may offer more rated puffs for the money, but Isgo loyalists and MTL fans have a clear reason to choose it.
